Next, we create a ski specific foot bed custom molded from your foot. A foot bed allows the skier to assume a more neutral position and and helps to correct pronation and supination. After the foot bed is complete the liners of the boot are heated and molded to achieve a full custom fit. If needed, the shell is additionally modified by stretching or grinding to accommodate specific trouble areas.
Finally, the Powder House Ski Shops offers World Cup boot planing for those interested in taking skiing to the next level. Boot planing corrects balance issues of up to +/- 5 degrees, allowing for precision weighting of the ski. This in turn speeds up the energy transmission between body and ski, perfecting the response time of turn initiation.
